Ode to Being in Life

First, a toast to those without conscious, to the meek,
to all lives at the wellspring of life's trials.
Who with earth's elements fill their bowls,
seasoned by nature's rhythms, they sow, then reap
the gratitude of those who sing in forest chorales.
Such are our peaceful hosts as we break bread,
having never partaken of others' souls,
they live to nourish evolution instead.
Though honoured by legions of bees enjoying nectar,
and thankful foxes flying from fruit to fertile fruit,
do their humble offerings satisfy your physicality?
We who harvest seeds and pluck the leaves we savour
further feed upon others whose final cries are moot
to lead a fellowship of engorgement as estranged
as the fickle love and lust of reckless juvenility.
Can goodness displace greed and not be interchanged?
Be joyful and dance in celebration of their generosity
as they turn dust and sunlight into vital nourishment.
For precious are such unconscious sacrifices that feed
the mobile kingdoms of might enslaved to hypocrisy.
Oh life, does strife decide right by thy commandment?
Your trials of cognition, so besieged of violence,
rally fate's cruel fights as losers suffer and bleed.
Is this the creed to which evolution owes allegiance?
Chaos and upheaval, allies with no patience for decay,
are nature's primal expressions of meaning whose message
warns evolution: Life's futile refrain needs clever verse!
As vital assemblies of actions search for a better way
that someday virtue should break free of life's bondage
when humans and animals alike practise responsibility
then goodness will succeed, hate and greed shall disperse.
Life's mission to fulfil meaning achieves infallibility.
As actions of instinct tremble before acts of kindness
from minds evolved, compiled upon billions of messages
of evolution's lessons learned through ages accrued,
life generates sacros as it revels in acts of goodness.
This blessed testament to evolution's momentous passage
that bears the gift and burden of responsibility,
this ritual of evolution so often misconstrued,
suffers in realms of faiths, ravaged by abject piety.
Oh woe to you so busied by affairs and your God's wrath,
your daily wake appeasingly goes about an abandoned self.
Beware of the wealth that falls through humanity's sieve
and dwell not on trivialities nor forsake nature's chaff.
For a message of mutual respect despises greed's stealth.
Quiet cycles of anguish and grief, elation and happiness
to hear how what loves you speaks after you take leave
as the self set free navigates blissful selflessness.
You are as a painting of experiences and impressions
underway by the mind from the palette of your brain
on a canvas of the self where must you remain affixed
to a cultural frame so full of humanity's illusions?
Elope with that self, of a canvas bare, to a domain
of awareness where unthought truths are ready to teach.
Look where life's way of evolution has been transfixed
by the influence of sacros that no language can preach.
Traverse zoeros; as the architect of your temple within
build your self's alter upon empathy wherefore worship
delivers goodness through mindful offerings of good deeds.
The foundation of life's salvation and sacros are akin.
Let responsibility liberate sanctity wherewith to equip
minds that may divine life's moral code from the depths
of zoeros, unknown to time, wherefrom sanctified seeds
of Being pierce reality to greet selfhood's first breaths.
